Moving back!
January 20, 2010
After a year with the gang at EEI I have decided to move my blog back to it’s original WordPress location. Rob, Alex and the gang have started something awesome at weei.com and I wish them nothing but the best. Both Rob and Alex are two of my better friends and writers I have immense respect for in both talent and integrity!
My website is now back at http://38pitches.com/

Odd timing. Too much politicals, not enough Red Sox?
Regardless, I hope you keep at it. I enjoying reading your blog. Thank you.
pete was a blow hard but played a big part on the show if that is part of why you moved , bravo. ps they should can jerry calahan what a tool . keep up the good work
Gee Curt…you’re changing hosts for this blog more times than the Indians changed uniforms in the early 70s…
I disagree with your politics, but unlike other boards, you let opposinbg viewpoints be heard. Thanks, Curt.
what a great way to protest the unfortunate canning of Pete Shepherd! Thanks Curt!
Curt heard you on the big show today.Politics aside I hope others will follow your boycott .I’m not an activist but cutting him was crazy.
I applaud you on taking a stand. I will be joining you, I informed Jason Wolfe today was the last big show I will be tuning in to. I find it difficult to understand why the station felt the need let go a main member of one of their top earning shows just months after deciding to reduce the length of each commercial break. As nice as it is to have more showtime and less commercials I would have rather had Pete still on the show. I know this is very long winded but wanted to vent and thank you for supporting Pete, hopefully more will follow.
Well, you are a man of your word. I discovered this last night looking for the “old new” site–I never changed this bookmark. No longer was I in WEEI land.
When I found out why I was disappointed and shocked over the reason: the firing of Pete. I suppose someone can show some economic reason that was necessary . . . damned if I can think of one.
I will miss downloading your calls, but I understand why you made the decision and respect you for it.

First off thanks for your support for Scott Brown. Since 98.5 came on line there really is little reason to listen to ‘EEI any more. Give it a chance and you will see what I am talking about.
Might want to update some of those top links, Curt. The ALSA one gives you the option of clicking into Curt’s pitch, and that’s a dead link
Always admired you for your opinions and what you stand for Curt. Keep up the great work on the mound of what we call life.
Curt, you’re bouncing around like a catcher trying to box in one of your 0-2 fork balls LOL. I’m glad you are back on WordPress, I think it is a better set up for your blog.
Seat Pete Now! Seat Pete Now!
Pete Shepard? Who cares about Pete Shepard? There are plenty of reasons to stay away from 850 but this isn’t one of them. 98.5 is way better.
Everyone, including myself, has been mis-spelling Pete’s name! It’s Sheppard! Sorry Pete!
Curt, you best be careful talking politics. Especially when it’s just banter with no substance at all. You can piss off 1/2 the people all the time and you need 75% of the votes to get to the Hall.
Okay so someone didn’t agree with you so you are moving your blog? What are you 10 Schilling?
I appreciate the world series but your damn attitude and lack of appreciation of free speech unless they agree with you sucks.
Good Riddance Pete you won’t be missed and neither will you Schilling.
P.S.- I voted for Brown so this has nothing to do with loitics it has to be with Schilling’s attitude sucking
God gymtruthteller, you’re a complete and utter tool! Schill moved his blog, ostensibly, because WEEI canned Pete Sheppard for no reason when he only had three months left on his contract. Honestly, they had to fire him without paying him the rest of his money? That’s a bush league move.
It’s not “because someone didn’t agree with [him],” it’s because he was taking a principled stand in defense of a friend. Yeah, that’s endemic to a ten-year old, right? They’re always so noble and loyal at that age. It’s got nothing to do with free speech you raging idiot– he didn’t leave because someone said something he didn’t like, he left because one of his friends was fired unfairly! Are you seriously this dumb or does acting like you have the mental capacity of a lobotomized field mouse turn you on in some fashion?
I’m glad you voted for Brown, but unfortunately, you’re perpetuating the stereotype that Republicans and those who vote for Republicans are uneducated, flippant, and ultimately churlish sycophants who can do nothing but spout their own anger.
Might also want to do some research into what free speech actually is and how it’s completely non-applicable in a privately owned forum (like say, a blog or a radio station.)
EEI has lost it’s mind. They are in a dogfight with their new competition and they axe the one guy that is bearable after 2:00 pm. Shepard appeals to the masses because he is an unapologetic fan of Boston sports. You chose wisely in this instance Curt. Why would anyone want to be associated professionally with the likes of Ordway Smerlas and Deossie? They shout you down and bigtime any valid point with the ‘you just don’t understand” angle. Get in over at 98.5 Curt. Felger Mazz and Schilling would be appointment radio. Hopefully your presence would end the ridiculous amount of airtime that Andy Gresh has been given.
Curt,
Too bad we aren’t going to be hearing you anymore on EEI. The guys on 98.5 were lobbying today to get you involved in their shows. Any thoughts on moving to 98.5, thus also moving your blog over to their site?
Best of luck.
Welcome back to the real world. Maybe you should start calling in to 98.5 now. I’m sure you could come up with some choice things to call Felger. Keep up the writing and visit us at Getoutofmyballpark.com.
Ah, thank goodness.
