The best quote of the day yesterday..

January 18, 2010

And for the life of me I can’t figure out why no one has repeated it.

Scott Brown addressing voters said

“Your tax dollars should go towards the purchase of weapons to stop these terrorists from killing American Citizens, not to pay lawyers to defend them”

Bravo Scott.

Keep up the good work, this non-democrat from Ohio hopes Mass. goes red.

That’s awesome and I’m amazed that quote hasn’t gotten out. There’s a reason 99% of elected democrats are lawyers and the majority of elected republicans actually did something productive before being elected officials.

I am a long time Yankee fan, and while I still respected you as a player, and the great things you did on the field (even though they were virtually never good for the Yankees), I have an even greater respect for where you stand on this issue. I am so tired of people with fame being such out spoken out of touch “liberals”. You remeber where you came from…America. Thanks for being what great sports figures should be, a good example of values, standing for what you believe in and establishing priorities with a valuable base. Keep it up.

You are a potbellied moron. Why don’t you start shooting and rounding up terrorists in your neighborhood first? I mean, all those minorities, non-WASP, and non born-again Christians, since these are all terrorists in your and FOX TV’s warped bigoted mind.

You realize of course that your “tax dollars” go DIRECTLY to the Iraqis to NOT shoot at our soldiers. They literally PAY people for “loyalty”.
You go to work every day, work your balls off, struggle to pay your own bills,
and thanks to the BUSH administration, they are using YOUR money to PAY these D-bags in a country we shouldn’t have been in.

But why would Curt the loudmouthed millionaire give a crap about info like that,
since it doesn’t further his selfish agenda?

Well… I’d like to see my money (as a taxpayer) go on lawyers to defend them too, for two reasons:

    (1) A significant minority of the guys we shipped over to Gitmo turned out to be guys who mostly landed up in the wrong place at the wrong time. If we’re serious about having a Constitution, they need their day in court.

    (2) There are few things that would make me happier than seeing bin Laden and al-Zawahiri rot in Supermax for the term of their natural lives. (My personal opinion is that executing them just makes them martyrs and is counterproductive, but reasonable minds can definitely differ on that.) But before we do that, we need to demonstrate to the world that we are justified in locking them up and throwing away the key. That requires that they get a good defense lawyer too.

Part of being a civilized society requires that we treat them better than they would treat us. It may pain us to do that, but that’s the cost of being a nation that can look itself in the eye.

And if we managed to convict Saddam fairly in a court of law, why not these guys?

Health Care and Cap and Trade all about Population Controls ? How to Fix the Population Explosion? by Paul Ehrlich adviser to the President along with Science Czar Holdren*2YAwbJKNA0ynjqNMPkAWc364um0hFryXrnCiwz7Aj0us0lz6nMDxpOErKkoOFI1yQyJxaBvmUtOCg37l0c/14211548HowtoControltheAMERICANPopulationbyPaulEhrlichThePopulationBombBrentJessop.pdf

this from page 2 of what Paul Ehrlich says – “We must have population control at home, hopefully through changes in our
system, but by compulsion if voluntary methods fail.
According to Ehrlich the first step to worldwide population control is the

Is this why they won’t let the People see the Health care Bill ? Is this why they push an aggressive abortion policy ?

What is NSSM 200 “Population Control” by Kissinger who says this Document is still active , are the designers of health care and cap and trade trying to integrate these policies together with Health care ? United Nations Agenda 21

In this document it talks about the National security threat overpopulation is , so can the Supreme Court rule that health care and cap and Trade be Implemented and mandate the provisions of the bills ? goes into great detail on what needs to be done to implement the strategy of world population control.

Right on Curt… I don’t think people realize that it’s their tax dollars funding the defense attorneys for the detainees at Guantanamo Bay. Neither the U.S. Constitution nor the Bill of Rights provides any right to a trial or attorney to foreign citizens who have planned or carried out a crime against the United States from within their own country. They’re called “prisoners of war”, and they get two meals a day and medical car in an emergency. No more, no less. Those that think they should get a “fair trial” in U.S. courts ought to remember just how fair of an end those 13 hijackers gave to the passengers on the planes that brought down the World Trade Center.

If anyone still has trouble swallowing that… Just how fair of a trail do captured U.S. contractors or soldiers get overseas? They’re paraded on a webcast and beheaded… I think people ought to see the full footage before defending those at Guitmo.

Keep up the good work, Curt!

And when you read this you have to wonder what is the Obama administration thinking about wanting to plant over 50 million acres of Food Producing farmland to trees when we are facing food shortages ?????

And why would they be restricting these vital resource needs when Food shortages are not very far away ???

I am a lifelong Yankee fan from NJ(please dont hate me) but I have always liked you and actually must admit that Boston is my second favorite team (that’s what happens when a team like yours always plays the team I root for with such great games. As a baseball fan, how can you not respect that level of play over the years? Somehow over the years, I slowly moved past a level of respect and became a closet fan (some of the current players are on my list of all time favorite players — I won’t name names 🙂 So as my husband and myself watched our team over the years — conversation came up one day and we both shockingly realized that we actually LIKE The Boston Red Soxs and root for them if and when they are not playing the Yankees lol. That being said, I have been paying very close attention to politics over the last 2 years or so (about a year or so prior to the election)and when I heard the comment about you being a Yankee fan — I actually laughed out loud and thought to myself — she is shooting herself in the foot AGAIN and was quite happy. Then hearing your statement and seeing you today on Fox News, I must tell you, you have always had my respect – but I have to say, you have gone up to a new level.
I spent some time today reading this blog and felt like I was reading my own blog of sorts that I run on facebook.
I like how you say it like it is — you don’t tiptoe around the facts and you speak with passion and conviction.
I will be watching the election tomorrow from NJ and will be rooting for Brown (I have donated to his fund) and want to thank you for taking the time and putting your neck on the line to speak about the political scene as you do with a clear voice. I hope your state sends a clear message to the big government crooks running the show these days. Keep up the good fight.

Thank you — all the best to you and yours.

Ever the windbag, Curt. Tax dollars for weapons, No Duh, that is typical right wing sensationalism. Plenty of tax dollars have gone to make weapons, many now in the hands of terrorists when we supported Iran in the Iran – Iraq war.

We are helping people in Haiti (as we should) but when it comes to helping our own people in the US, by God don’t raise taxes for them, don’t give them medical coverage, don’t let them see that America is their country too, not just rich CEOs, professional athletes (why DO we pay so much for our entertainment?)

Brown, and many Republicans, seem to want to pin the blame on bank bailouts on President Obama but just check the dates of the BIG BANK BAILOUTS -> it was in September 2008, 2 months BEFORE Election Day. Bank bailouts and the ever present bonuses from bailout money proves that Wall Street is only in it for THEIR money. They don’t have a clue about the middle class and the millions of lost jobs and the true suffering of tax-paying Americans.

I could go on for pages but the narrow-minded, rich-thinking, self-centered Right can’t see anything but their own corporate board rooms, vacation homes and yachts and could never open their pea-brains or myopic eyes to see what fellow Americans are living with every day.

    Curious for your reply….

Curt, thanks for your stance. As a Mesa Arizonan, I have many puzzled thoughts. I share a lot with Red Sox Fans. I have been a Red Sox Fan, since the days of Frankie Malzone, Jackie Jensen, and Pumpsie Greene. Of course I loved the obvious, Ted Williams and Frank Sullivan. I HATE the Yankees, and my love for the Sox intensified when you went there.
That said, it is crazy that I share so much in common with Bosox and Pats Fans, I love New England and Boston, but we think down here that the overwhelming political thoughts of Liberal Bostonians and New Englanders are insane. Massachusetts Health Care is a dismal failure, so how in the world can any Independent in Massachusetts sign up for the same story second verse. How can anybody called Patriots, vote for anything or anyone, supporting such obvious transgressions against the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It is criminal. Are you aware that there is a bill before the Legislature of Arizona which will block National Health Care and refer that capacity back to the right of the state, and the individual. Go Scott Brown. You’ve got guts and brains. I hope that I am never incapacitated enough to need a Federal Idiot to tell me what Health Care Choice to make. Can I borrow your machete? Are you an expert on terrorism? Have you ever read any relevant literature or studies on terrorism? Do you know how groups like al-Qaeda operate? Do you know how they recruit members or finance their activities? Do you know anything about the history of the Middle East? Do you know anything about Islamic culture? Put down the video games and pick up a book and maybe you might learn something.

Politicians, whether it’s Scott Brown or Martha Coakley, care more about themselves than protecting our country. If George Bush were still President and decided to have Abdulmutallab tried in civilian court, then Scott Brown would not be making these criticisms.

Sorry Curt, defeating al Qaeda isn’t as simple as buying more guns and hunting them down. The real world is more complicated than a game of everquest. At the end of the day, Abdulmutallab will be convicted and will die in prison.

This quote is one that sounds very nice, but in reality portrays a false choice: defending terrorists or attacking them.

Our country’s founding document explicitly states that our government will do BOTH. The federal government will “provide for the common defense,” (preamble). And those subject to criminal prosecutions by our government have the RIGHT “to have the Assistance of Counsel for [their] defence.” (6th amdt).

I’m not doubting the many complications of the issue; this quote simply boils it down to a for-them or against-them dichotomy that just does not exist.

And thanks to Texas Gal for the props…

My shot at Dave Ben is loaded, so step back ye faint of heart: Scott Brown didn’t campaign in Roxburry? Are you sure? I mean, I wouldn’t blame him if he skipped The Rox, because ACORN probably wouldn’t take too kindly to a white man “all up in their hood.” Especially a white, conservative running on a platform that includes putting an end to a lot of the bills that Obama and his Congress have put on the floor. You’re not going to win too many African-American votes by killing the “hand out bills”. If he actually skipped over Roxburry, then he saved himself a waste of time.

Another thing, Dave Ben… “Change” is coming, you’re right. I also agree that the Old Boy Network is falling apart. A good example is the “Ted Kennedy Seat”… Coakley stepped right up for the special election, and immediately took off for Washington to meet with Obama and other Dems. Scott Brown hit the streets, shook the hands of the common man. Coakley raised D.C. lobbiest money, while Brown raised local money.

The Massachusetts Dems seem to think that Ted’s old seat belongs to them, and not the people of Mass. Funny, but that seems exactly like what you’re referring too… The Good Old Boy Network.

Can’t wait for Brown to rock their world… And I’m not even in Massachusetts. I’m in Carolina.

Best quote tonight had to be yours Curt on Hannity (although I probably don’t have it verbatim): “Well, Obama got elected, and the Yankees won. Let’s call it an off year.”

    A classic!

And for the troll PJ – one wonders if you actually walk upright, or if maybe mommy still dresses you. Grow up. Your hatred of Curt is surpassed only by your lack of a clue. If Curt is under your skin so badly – just leave.

P.S. – Jesus did walk on water. So did Peter (albeit very briefly). But don’t take my word for it – it’s in the Bible. Might do you some good to actually look it up for yourself… (Matthew 14 for example)

  40. January 18, 2010 10:51 pm

For the ‘historian’ Bill – why does conflict exist in the middle east? Where did it begin??

And why does every peace talk have to center around what Israel is expected to give up? Never the other way around??

And for Dave Ben – who said that we’re all white? I have personally found conservatives to be far more color blind than those leaning left. Get a clue, man.
