Who do you root for now?

January 16, 2010

I am a lifelong Steeler fan, they had a crappy year, missed the playoffs so I ended up rooting for the Patriots.

Well that’s come and gone and I had no team to really get behind, until now.

Read this story and if you don’t have a ‘dog in the hunt’ how can you NOT want the Ravens to win it all??

Hey Curt, I love your blog when you go on for a few paragraphs on whatever is on your mind. Not a fan when you just refer an article and add a couple sentences. Are you saving up for a big slam job piece on Coakley? I’ve seen your links, but I’d love to hear more. I’m a democrat, and probably voting for Brown because she is running as bad a campaign as imaginable. Keep blogging my friend, nothing better than a man unafraid to speak his mind.

I too am a lifelong Steelers fan but I have been pulling for Baltimore because I’m an AFC North kind of guy. However after reading this truly amazing story I’m pulling for young Matthew Costello as well as the Ravens.

    1. Cardinals
    2. Anybody but the Colts. It would be hilarious to see them lose their first playoff game after throwing away the perfect season to rest everybody.

I’m a Giants/Pats fan, and I, too have been wondering who to root for now.

Thanks for making it so clear, Schill. You’re the man. Hope you do run for office some day!

    Go Ravens. Go Costello.

    What a great story.

For all of the jerks in the world, there are a lot of really great folks who understand what’s really important in life.

Thanks for sharing this inspiring story.

Does it remove a little of the sting of last Sunday’s loss?

Not really, but let’s hope Matt can do to Peyton whatever it is that he did to Brady!

Well… Ravens have gone down (no offense), so I’d say it’s the Jets and the Saints. Gotta go with the way-underdog Jets.

Ouch you have no luck at all with teams to root for 🙂 Well, maybe the saints will come marching in.

Hey Curt, now Martha Coakley is claiming that Scott Brown is Bill Buckner! Will she stop at nothing?

Coakley is clearly a yankees fan.

I was happy when you helped win the World Series, but that was before I knew you were a Bush supporter, and are responsible for morally and fiscally bankrupting America.

The huge mess the US is in is because of clueless people like you supporting the corrupt administration of Bush/Cheney.

    Shame on you.

And shame on your support for Scott Brown.

And I’m rooting for the Jets now, btw. Who are winning, against all odds.

Go Vikings, i know Bretts Retiring Antics are annoying, but how sweet would it be to see him raise his ring to the Camera and make a nice statement like ” Im glad to be a superbowl Champion once again, and i just want to give a special thanks to the Great people in the packers organization for Giving me this Great oportunity to get another ring”.. Gotta love the Elder statesman who rises to the Top in the big game.. Now all Brett needs is a Bloody Sock.. Curt,, can ya help out old brett?

Martha Coakley claims that the Taliban is gone from Afganisan! Who took credit for the bomingin Kaubal?

  15. January 18, 2010 1:33 pm

So, let me get something straight: had Martha said that this weasel Shilling is a Steelers (or Ravens) fan, she would have been in touch with Mass and a hero for you?

I did not think so, you brainless bigoted idiots have already made your (empty) minds regardless, just quit this nonsense about not liking her for the Red Sox/Yankees gaffe…

Curt, if you read this: How can you not be pulling for the Jets? They’re like the Red Sox of 2004, only even less likely to win.

The fact that Marsha didn’t realize that Curt Schilling is a Red Sox hero is pathetic. That’s like “Manny Ortiz”, but stupider.

  18. January 18, 2010 10:27 pm

So let me try and understand some warped logic here – someone like PJ would rather back the candidate who claims there are no more terrorists in Afghanistan? Or can’t spell Massachusetts?

What were your own words, PJ – “brainless bigoted idiots”?? (In some circles, btw – that might just be called self-ownage…)

Vote for the candidate with a brain – Scott Brown.

I’ll be rooting for the NFC in the Super Bowl. Sorry, but I dislike the Jets and I HATE the Colts.

Go Pats in 2010…and since we play the Ravens in Gillette next season, Let’s hope that Matt Costello can make it up there for the game.
