Curt-
My son and I were at that game you pitched in Oakland and lost the no hitter in the 9th. That was a great game, tons of Sox fans and a beautiful day in California! As we left Oakland on HWY 80 back to Lake Tahoe we couldn’t stop talking about the almost no hitter!It’s always great to see the Sox’s win but a no hitter that day would have been ……great!
I have one other memory of you that was awesome……………it was a few years back in Anaheim. My son and I got to the park a little early to see if he could get an autograph and we couldn’t believe our eyes! You had a large bag of balls and you were just tossing them to people in the upper deck, I couldn’t believe it! We didn’t get one but you did sign my son’s glove that day!! Thanks!!!

I do not consider what I write to be rambling. However,if you feel that what I write is a waste of your time,then don’t read it. Skip over it and move on to something else. I never said that you have to read what I write,and quite frankly it is not worth my time to have to respond to your trashing of what I write. As for my writing,I am not going to stop just because you do not like the words that I choose or the subject matter that I discuss. Believe me,a lot of worse things have been said on this site. And for the record,why does what I have written bother you so much anyway? Why does it bother you that I show support and caring for a man who is a beautiful human being,both on and off the field,one who clearly has much more to offer as a human being than you do. I fail to see why what I have said upsets you so much. I really do not know why it bothers you or concerns you so much but if it does,if you do not like what I write,then when you see a posting from me,skip over it completely and do not read anything that I write,either that I have written in the past or that I will write in the future. That way it will not be a waste of your time,as you put it(nobody said that you had to read it) and I certainly will not have to waste my time reading your trash.

Would like to add my congrats to Lester and Tek. With leaders like Curt on this team, this team will continue to be the “team to beat”.
I am so glad that the team signed Casey to help the youngsters in the dug out and with Curt and Timlin working the young pitchers we will continue to have a great bull pen.
And no matter what the press says, Manny please stay the way you are and always make us smile.

This time,Mr. Schilling,I will be short and straight to the point(I have written long pieces in the past but not this time). I heard about how your session went on Friday,the 23rd of May,about how it went when you threw the ball,and there are no words to describe how I feel,or more importantly,how you must feel. I am thrilled to hear the great news and I look forward to hearing more fantastic news in the coming weeks. I said from the start that I was pulling for you every step of the way,which still holds true,and I also said that I knew that even though it was going to take time,you were going to win,that you were going to be back out there pitching again. You said that you were going to accept whatever was planned for you but I knew in my heart,and have been proven right,that this is what was and is planned for you. Congratulations on doing as well as you are,keep fighting!,really truly fantastic news,and I know that very soon you will be at the top of that mountain,shouting out that you are there! It will happen! Hang in there and my thoughts are with you,always.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this historic moment Curt!

Being 41 myself, I’ve watched a lot of Red Sox baseball over the years, and each time something occurs that is “historic”, I try to make a mental note of where I was when it occurred. Many times, I was at the game it occured at.

The last 2 no-hitters, unfortunately I was not able to attend in person. But in my previous 40+ years, I had never seen one live (on NESN of course). I missed DLowe’s and Nomo’s and Matt Young’s losing effort in 1992. But having now witnessed 2 no-hitters in 7 months, I totally agree with you. Each time you guys take the field, there is the possibility that something historic will happen.

It’s a great time to be a Red Sox fan!

Good luck with the rehab and I hope to watch you pitch later this year.
