Curt: I read the article today in ESPN.com about you having surgery and commenting that you've likely "thrown my last pitch forever."

Did you just realize this? Because I've known you've been done for over a year. You've had a great career and I have a lot of respect for you. Not too many baseball players can say they've beat the Yankees on 2 different teams and played an integral part in each! But, it's over. That article and your comments are so obvious...who are you kidding? You've been done so long.

Also, do me a favor. Either become a journalist or not. I assume you will be working for ESPN or Fox soon, but get on with it already. I"m sick of all your comments about every athlete and sport while you hide behind being a red sox. Leave the red sox and go join one of the sports analysis teams on Espn or Fox or maybe even get your own show on the NESN. Stop hiding behind this blog and your status as a hall of fame red sox and get out there and get in, for example, Kobe's face with your comments and criticisms. Let's see you say those things to his face. Howard Cosell had a great career doing this and I'm sure you will too, but at least he had the gutts to just do it and not hide like you do behind your legendary athletic status.

I'd like to see the next article about you in ESPN.com be your announcement that you have officially joined a tv network. Let's see if you have the gonads to do that, otherwise, shut up and keep your comments to yourself. Only the classless people up in boston care.

I just have to say that the Yankees and Kobe Suck.

"After the time of all those bleeps, we almost pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in history," he said. "It seemed to motivate them pretty well."

Kobe- "almost" pulled it off doesn't count. The Celtics did pull off the greatest comeback in Finals history. You didn't see Garnett yelling at Pierce because he was 0 - 3 in 3PT shots. Kobe is the most talented player in the NBA but I would take Kevin Garnett for being an all around player with Class.

I just have to tell you "GOOOOOOOOOOOO YANKEES". WHAT? you've never heard sports players get mad at their teammates before? I'm sure you have been mad at your teammates many times. What do you want Kobe to do, talk to them softly and give them cookies each? STOP CRITICIZING AND ENJOY THE NBA CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! Stop showing your ring and have your Celtics enjoy their moments, you got yours last year.

Buckner and Greatness have nothing in common to me. Bill was a solid player for the Dodgers and the Cubs, he got hits, didn't strike out alot swiped some bags, he was a gamer, he even played a little outfield. He didn't make as many errors as people think, I am not quite sure how he won 5 MVP awards? Even those seasons wouldn't make an all-star team now. Oh yeah nice bling Curt.....
