Dear Curt,

During spring training Steve Buckley wrote a great article about you. I wrote and told him so, and he suggested telling you as well. So here's my view:

We waited 86 years for 2004 to come and if you had not been on that team - we might still be waiting. Historically, I think you are THE single most signicant player, - having the most impact - in Red Sox history. Significant, when you consider Ted Willliams, Big Papi, Joe Wood and Yaz

What you pulled off in 2004 year - and at the end on one leg no less - was unbeliebable.

Again, last year - despite a arm problems - you were absolutely clutch down the stretch. No Curt? No 2007 W.S. Win, either. Sorry. We lose to the Indians. Beckett was awesome. Dice K came through in a big way. But you were wicked clutch.

I have no doubt that your presence is nothing but good for Becket and Dice-K to be around, not to mention the rest of the team.

I was bummed to hear about the arm issue when you were preparing for the year. I was bummed to hear that the docs are split. I wish they'd let you get the fix you wanted - your doc has a proven track record. I'm guessing you know best for your body.

With all of that said - I really hope you can rehab it and fix it during the first half or so of the season the way the team thinks can happen.

Here's why - another W.S. Ring to put alongside those beauties you posted in that photo would be STAGGERING to comprehend.

Think of it - you come back in mid or late August after missing all that time and provide that push to get back to the playoffs - and back into your favorite neighborhood (W.S. Clutch Time) - it's gonna put you on a whole other level. Another stratosphere. Your legacy will be ridiculous. One game? Winner take all, who do you want on the mound? Bob Gibson? Whitey Ford? Sandy Koufax? Dizzy Dean? Cy Young? Joe Wood? Bob Feller? .... Or you? WEEI will need it's own time slot just for that argument.

So please, work on that rehab - because there's still more clutch time yet to come!! You are already a shoe-in for the HOF. After you kick butt in 2008 - you'll need your own wing there!

Good luck!

Edzo in Vermont

p.s. Tell Big Papi not to sweat it and relax. Like you, without him we have nothing. We know he's got his yearly 35 homers and 130 rbis inside him. They're just all gonna come in fewer games this year. I feel bad for AL pitching once he warms up. So please tell him to cheer up!

Mr. Schilling,

I've noticed that a lot of pitchers wear what looks like a rawhide neck band. Can you tell me what this represents?

Thank you.

We hope you will return true to form, but if not we will always be thankful for the TWO (2) World Championships you have brought to Red Sox Nation. Even though the nit-wit son of a *^&%$ from the Yankees is now flopping his gums, we need you to rest up for the play-offs. Besides, how many Championships do you need to get into the Hall of Fame? Your three are memorable and a forth would be the icing on the cake!

Rest up you old war horse, we will need you for the final lap!

Curt,

Do you believe in miracles? If you do, this message may be just that for you and your shoulder.

You certainly don’t know me today, but may become extremely appreciative that I invented a patent pending product called GolfStretcher™ for the golf world or ProStretcher™ for the non golf market and had the balls to let you know about the product in this Blogb. I would like to introduce this product to you and/or Paul Lessard, Mike Reinold, or Scott Waugh. We have tried, but have not been successful in reaching Paul, Mike or Scott and, thus, this blog directly to you.

Shoulder results for many users of these products have been nearly miraculous. One of the last to be blown away with how rapidly the product helped his shoulders is the Number One Ranked Long Ball Golf Driver, Brain Pavlet. Brain can not wait to share the product with his brother Steve who is an ATC and PT in California.

Our focus with this invention has been primarily in Golf. Hank Haney, Tiger Wood’s Swing Trainer, Sean Cochran, Phil Michelson’s Personal Trainer and current number 3 ranked Steve Stricker’s Personal Trainer and Caddie, Thomas Mitchell, all have and are testing or using GolfStretchers™.

This is the review we received from Thomas Mitchell.

The GolfStretcher is definitely a great tool to use in everyone's golf fitness program. It is very effective in increasing the range of motion in the shoulder joint, which is usually ignored in most people's workouts. It will help reduce shoulder injuries and can only improve one's golf swing. The rotating handles are awesome and comfortable to use. I now feel confident and complete in my golf fitness training.

Robert E. McAtee, LMT, CSCS, C-PT - Co-Author of “Facilitated Stretching”, PNF Stretching and Strengthening Made Easy and owner of Pro-Active Massage Therapy, Colorado Springs, CO had this to say:

As an inventor myself, I’m pleased to see the creative simplicity of the GolfStretcher™.

As a sports therapist and facilitated stretching specialist, I’ve auditioned many stretching and flexibility products over the years. The Golf-Stretcher’s unique combination of rotating handles and shaft and adjustable length make the multi-planar movements used in facilitated stretching easy for everyone to accomplish.

I recommend the Golf-Stretcher™ for improving golf performance, as well as for overall flexibility training, neuromuscular integration, and general health and well-being.

We look forward to helping you with your shoulder. The only thing we ask in return is that if this product helps you as much as we expect it will, that you would help us get this product recognized in the Baseball World.

Curt…Please fee free to contact me directly or have or Paul Lessard, Mike Reinold, or Scott Waugh contact me.
